Easy Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients
- 6 medium sized potatoes.
- 1 large onion, sliced thinly into rings
- 4 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 4 tsp flour
- 11/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 2 cups milk

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In medium saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk. stir constantly until boiling. Remove from heat.
- Peel potatoes and slice thinly. Prepare onion. Layer half of potatoes and onion in 2 quart casserole. Pour half the sauce over and layer the rest and cover with remaining sauce.
- Bake covered at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
- Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer, or until potatoes are tender.
Tips & Variations
Add shredded chedder or jack cheese on top
Add shredded bacon between layers or sprinkle on top
