Alberta: The Right Environment for Agriculture
In 2011, 53,800 acres of potatoes were planted in Alberta.
In 2012, that amount increased 3.5% to 55,700 acres.
In 2013, 52,500 acres planted across the province.
In 2014 53,003 acres were the total acres seeded as reported on the PGA report engine.
In 2015, 53,235 acres planted across the province.
In 2016, there was a slight decrease to 52,985 acres planted across the province with more in processing and less for the fresh market.
